Open Mikes: NCAA basketball tournament's new TV format - USATODAY.com:

"Instead of CBS' old regionalized coverage where viewers could only watch the one game assigned to their TV market — with CBS then shifting around viewers between other games played almost simultaneously — each game will be shown in its entirety on CBS or Turner's TBS, TNT or truTV channels. And, tipoffs for early-round games will be more staggered to allow channel-changing viewers to be able to see big chunks of the games they choose without having to miss much of other games.
Of course, that only helps if you have cable TV: CBS will only have 26 of the tournament's 67 games. But using cable TV brings more flexibility. On the first Sunday of the tournament, CBS used get NCAA action done for the day in time for the network to air 60 Minutes and the rest of its Sunday primetime lineup. Now, Turner will air game action that Sunday night until around midnight.
Other changes include using TNT's NBA announcers on the NCAA tournament, like adding TNT's Steve Kerr to CBS' lead announcing team of Jim Nantz and Clark Kellogg for a three-man team on the Final Four."
