After losing Victor Martinez to the Detroit Tigers the Red Sox may have found their replacement in Russell Martin. Hitting the magic age of 27 in MLB has been a stepping stone for many careers and the Red Sox might be trying to cash in on that trend. If this happens the Dodgers would either probably pick a journeyman catcher or turn to A.J. Ellis for their backstop. Martins production took a massive hit last season not to mention his season ending injury. The Dodgers just might cut bait to save payroll.
